As a job-tracking line. When a knit factory sends fabric for dyeing or garments for washing, the unit sends status updates on each batch: received, in process, shade or wash approved, ready for pickup. Shade and wash photos go in the same thread. Clients stop calling the floor manager, and every approval is written down with a date.
